Does anyone have a recommendation for a Rabbi for a baby naming? We're looking for someone to come to our house to perform the ceremony. I know lots of mohels also do baby namings and I have a few names. I was just looking for first hand recs from people who felt that the Rabbi and/or ceremony were particularly warm. This might be from a ceremony for your child or one you attended.
Thanks in advance! |
| Rabbi Moline of Agudas Achim did ours. However - we are members of his synagogue and I'm not sure he would do them if you are not a member. You do not need a rabbi for a baby naming. You can design your own service. That is what my sister did. |

Congrats on your new daughter! I highly recommend Rabbi Tamara Miller. She did our wedding and was absolutely wonderful. Warm and caring -- we love her. She'll come to your house for a baby naming and will help you design a ceremony that fits your family. Email address is tamara.i.miller at gmail.com

We had Rabbi Henesch do our daughter's baby naming. THe ceremony was absolutely wonderful, warm and inclusive of all family members.
I know that some people don't like him for brises (and after our sons bris, I can see that side too) but when you take out the medical aspect, he's absolutely fabulous. HE planned a few weeks ahead with us and had choices of prayers for different family members to do. All in all, it was touching and memorable. |
