| Does anyone's ADD child take this? If so, what is better about it than Concerta? My doctor prescribed it instead of Concerta, and it is a lot more expensive (an our insurance covers less of it). We have a primarily inattentive vs. hyperactive scenario. |

My son takes 30mg Metadate CD. He is very hyper. He has responded well with limited side effects. He has been able finally to settle down and focus in school. It has made a big difference for him.
Everyone responds differently. We could tell right away. His first dose was a bit too small and we increased and it worked well. |

| My DS is on 30mg of metadate as well. We saw some results with 20 (like turning up a dial), but 30mg is like flipping on a light switch. Some insomnia and loss of appetite, but small price to pay when we see so much improvement. |
