| I'd love to serve beautiful cupcakes at my daughter's christening lunch in a few weeks, but I don't feel like paying G'town Cupcake prices. Do any of you know of any local moms who are great bakers and sell their wares? Or alternatively, any ideas for a local shop where cupcakes don't cost a small fortune? Thanks so much! |

Try The Itsy Bitsy Baker in Kensington. You can get mini-cupcakes for $1.25.

This was posted on our neighborhood list serv yesterday and may be just what you're looking for:
I have a friend who is a professional baker, and custom cupcakes are her specialty. She works outside the home, but she said she would be glad to accept work from the listserv for custom cupcakes and cookie-pops. You can reach her at: tammydgriffin@yahoo.com. I have had the pleasure of eating some of her creations, and all I can say is, "YUM!" |
