Because getting my menstrual period means that once again i have not conceived. i should have expected it--it hasn't happened in its own, and didn't happen with IUI, but was hoping against hope it might happen while we take a break and assess the next steps. Sorry if my post annoyed some of you, i was just frustrated this morning.

Sorry I was in your shoes, only with multiple failed IUIs, IVFs. Taking a break, not taking a break, doing acupuncture, yoga, following the fertility diet, meditating, etc. By now I don't even get angry when my period shows up - I am just used to disappointment. Currently, I am going through my last IVF cycle and throwing in the towel if it doesn't work (after 4+ years of TTC).

Hope you get better luck than me.

Oh I hear ya, OP. I call it the uninvited guest that REFUSES to go away!!!
Been TTC for 8 months and every time I get my period I want to SCREAM!
Then I get over it and focus on trying again. Sigh.
