DH told me last night that he needs to go to London for work in Mid-January. He'll probably be gone for 4 days. At that point I'll be about 34 /35 weeks with our first baby - my inclination is to not make a big deal out of it because it is likely that nothing will happen. We don't have any family hear so if anything did happen I would be on my own.
What do you think? |
Don't make a big deal about it. Maybe make some arrangements with a good friend so she knows she's "on call."

Don't make a big deal of it. My DH had to travel for work before both our sons were born, and I figured it was better for him to travel then so that if work asked him to travel right after baby came, he had some leverege (sp.?) to say no. Also, there are so many flights to and from London that if he had to get back, he probably do so easily. |
I wouldn't make a big deal out of it either, but it might be worth asking how easily (or willing) he is to get on a flight right away if needed. Make an arrangement with a friend or even simply a neighbor to drive you as a back up. As someone thinking about travelling herself at 34-35 weeks pregnant though I come with perhaps a less worried approach than some. |
