Is my baby dropping?

What does it feel like to have your baby drop? I'm 36w and I've been having somewhat sharp cramps in my lower abdomen, esp when I get up and try to walk around. It feels like I've got gas, my bladder is being squeezed, and I've got menstrual cramps all at once. I'm pretty sure it's not contractions (at least I dont think it is). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I noticed that I could suddenly breathe easier and didn't have as much heartburn. My pelvis also felt really full and my hips started hurting.

My baby recently dropped and I've noticed that my heartburn is much less. The trade-off is that I spend most of my time in the bathroom urinating.
