Hi. We are considering moving to the Bradley Hills Elementary district and are wondering how the school is resourced for children with special needs. Is this a school whose administrators and staff value inclusive classrooms? I know that the school is a high-performing school and that the parents are educated and engaged. I'm just wondering whether children with special needs can thrive there, too. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks. |
Buy across Bradley Boulevard in the Burning Tree school district. They are wonderful with students with special needs. |
I have actually heard first-hand from parents I know well that Burning Tree does NOT have an inclusive model. They have a learning center, which is where schools like to ship the kids with special needs. People have had to take legal action to get kids included. That district is one that we are not considering, for the reasons that I mentioned. |
Wood Acres ES follows an inclusion model for special needs children. |
Before you sink your money in a home, go and visit the school. You will learn best there asking and seeing for yourself. Good luck. Our school was apparently not resourced, unbeknown to us, and we had to seek a legal remedy. |
12:07 again. Money aside, it was very hard on our child. We would likely not have bought in our neighborhood had we known (it is not a school mentioned here, but nearby). |
