What is considered ADVERTISING if the notices or discussion is related to subject matters of DC Urban Moms and Dads?

Unsolicited commercial posts are advertising and not allowed to be posted in the forums. The fact that the good or service might be related to the topics discussed on the website does not mean that posting about them is not advertising. Obviously, any advertiser would want the product or service they are advertising to be of interest to the users here. As a result, if simply being related to the website's topics were sufficient for something not to be considered advertising, nobody would bother to pay to advertise. If you would like to advertise a commercially-offered product or service, please see "http://www.dcurbanmom.com/advertising".

Simply put, if you expect to make money from this website, you are going to have to give us a cut.
