Did anyone here get accepted for K? I got our letter today saying our daughter hadn't been selected, but the lottery numbers create a wait list, correct? I emailed because her lottery number was not listed.

My DC didn't get in last year and i called the magnet office at fcps and they told me what #we were on the waitlist.

We also did not get accepted - although I am not surprised given that from the info night they mentioned that last year there were only 12 K slots and the majority of the applications were for K and the other lower grades. We emailed the contact person and she replied with our waitlist number.

I just checked my email, and my daughter is #94 on the wait list. Fat chance, right? I guess we'll see what happens with the immersion program, but that is just as unlikely, I guess. I wonder who those lucky 12 people are, don't you?

Applied for a rising K, and a 3rd grader. My K student is #11 on the waitlist, my 3rd grader #19. Not sure what I would do if only my K got in. (not hopeful anyway). My only point of comparison is when I applied for Spanish immersion and my oldest was #75 on the waitlist. We did not get in.
