Would you.... wear a bikini??

Anonymous

I am 36 weeks pregnant and have not purchased a maternity bathing suit. I still fit into my regular bikinis- as I really am all belly. Is it gross to wear a bikini? It would be at a private pool infront of my husband (who says... go for it!!), my sister-in-law, brother-in-law and his parents, and my very young nieces. I am being cheap and don't want to purchase a maternity suit that I won't really need. This is a one maybe two time occasion.

Absolutely! I'm all belly as well and I intend to wear a bikini this summer. I even bought a new one.

Bikinis on pregnant women look great! I wore one until my backside got too big and then switched to a bikini top and surf shorts.

I wore a bikini at 7 months and my belly was very protruding. I was all belly too.

I wore a bikini throughout my whole pregnancy up until the week I delivered . I think it looked great!

I wore a bikini when in late pg. And I was NOT someone who was particularly otherwise slender at the time (I topped out at 195 when pg and am 5'5"). Very comfortable and the sun feels great on your belly. A bikini and a wrap is perfect.

If I felt good in it I would. Especially at a private pool!

I would LOVE to wear my bikini, but I am afraid of getting sun on my stretched out stomach! I am 38 weeks and have come this far with no stretch marks or other issues. The skin on my stomach is so tight that I feel like it would be more sensitive to the sun.

OMG - I think this is probably the only time in my life i would consider wearing one! big boobs, and an excuse to have my belly hanging out?? YES!!

Kudos for you all for your bravery! I would not do it myself - my belly is now a web of angry, red stretch marks and I just don't feel like exposing them! I do have a very comfy maternity suit though since I've really enjoyed swimming throughout my pregnancy - it's been my favorite form of exercise, along with the yoga!

Think twice - you really expose a lot of yourself to others that they may not be comfortable with. Although I love my pregnant body, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable being so exposed in front of others. In fact, I'm not so sure I'm comfortable seeing such exposure on others.
