DCUM catchphrases

I pass the time on this site [too much] while nursing my newborn and I've started to notice certain posters -I assume it's the same one every time - using certain phrases over and over:
The "your mileage may vary" poster The poster who replies "ooh! burn!" to snarky comments directed at her. The "your [world view, belief, behavior, etc] has grown tiresome" poster. There's also the poster who says "this" but that may have been appropriated by others. There was a poster back in the day who called everyone an asshat but I haven't seen her in a while. Then there are the styles of responses that seem common: The poster who thinks you need therapy The Catastrophizer: "I knew someone with the symptoms you describe, and it ended up being terminal brain cancer. Call your doctor asap." The poster who always has to remind people that their problems pale in comparison to others and they should feel ashamed for being sad. Any others that I'm missing? I think I need a break from DCUM ... |

Don't forget the obligatory
"This sounds fake to me" posts and the "Troll!" posts It's not the same person every time. Sometimes I'm the one calling troll, and sometimes I'm the one "this"ing people. Not to mention, OP, that lots of this stuff is common on the internet on other forums (not necessary unique to DCUM). |
