please recommend comfortable bra for my ever-expanding boobs!

I'm wearing the same bras as I did when I was pregnant with DC #1, but they're feeling uncomfortable this pregnancy. I'm at 23 weeks at about 36/38 D. (I'm normally a 34/36 B.)

would LOVE to find a supportive bra without an underwire. the bras I'm using now have underwire, and they're chafing.

thanks!

Just also interested in this topic. Normally 32A, more like 34B at 19 weeks and about to bust out of the ones I have...

I recommend going to a specialty shop where they can find the right fit for you. I love Trousseau in Vienna. I'm only 13 weeks and have already gone up one size, and I expect I'll be visiting them again later in the pregnancy. Good luck!

If you are looking for an inexpensive option, I really like the new Bravado Basics bras they are selling at Target. They are $24 each, and they are maternity/nursing bras so they can do double duty if you are planning to nurse. (They also have nursing tank tops). I find that underwire really bothers me in late pregnancy, probably because my rib cage gets bigger, and these bras are sooooo comfortable -- they have been a godsend. I just started wearing mine last week and I think I'm going to go pick up a few more.

I really liked the maternity/nursing bra's from Mimi Maternity. They were more supportive and came with removable shells. They also have hooks so serve nicely as nursing bras once you get to that point. They are a lot better quality than Bravado and offer much better support. The Bravado's straps lose their hold after a while and my boobs just kind of "rested" in the cups which wasn't the look I was hoping for.

I'm really liking the Spanx brallelujah that I picked up at Appleseed in Old Town. No underwire.

I thought Mimi Maternity was no longer in business?

I am normally a 32 B (for the poster who is small breasted!) and am up to a 34B or 32 C - even though my boobs aren't huge, at 19 weeks, I seem to have a lot of pain where the wire hits and I am considerably larger.

I broke down and bought the ugliest non-underwire bra ever at Motherhood Maternity/Pea in a Pod. It is very comfortable--feels like a sports bra--although it's annoying me b/c part of the top shows in many low-cut things (I'm used to a demi-cup). I plan on buying another option to wear with things when I care about it showing, but it's been wonderful for work most days, with tee-shirts, and around the house. Can't say much for "support" because I've never really needed a lot of support...

Can't say enough good things about Warners collection of underwire-free bras. Usually a 34B, I'm wearing a 34C now and that may be soon to change. But I bought a bunch in various styles on sale at Kohls -- they came to about $13 apiece, which is really inexpensive. Very comfortable bras, and I bought about 5 different styles.

I second the vote for Bravado maternity/nursing bras. I just thought this morning "Wow the girls are getting big again" and my old bravado nursing bras are just the thing. So comfortable. No underwire. Yay!
