Yes a few kids did however many are going to next level teams.Especially the 2020s.Both of their coaches will be coaching the 2020 next level green |

My youngest tried out as a 13 year old U-13 player a couple of years ago. He was a decent player, not a certain but not an obvious decline to miss getting cut. We never heard from NL. I called a few times just to impart that was bad form but nobody returned a call. Maybe they just thought I was a crazy angry dad for asking. I got him into Bethesda Rec that fall, and the next spring he was welcomed into another local club team. NL is managed by clowns. |

Amazed how some Madlax parents can look the other way and still let their son play for this guy. We admittedly went to the Madlax tryout but also tried out for another club that is comparable or maybe a little worse. Easy decision for us to go to the other club.

My kids don't play lacrosse. I love deadspin and thought that article was hysterical in a horrifying sort of way. In fact, I found this thread when I googled "Hey ungrateful quitter" just to see if anyone else on the internet was talking about it, and I have stayed because I like reading about lacrosse parent angst and comparing it to the soccer parent angst I am more familiar with. But the link has now been posted a ridiculous number of times here. Are you the same disgruntled person posting it each time, or are there several of you? You (all) need to get some new material. |

I swear that comment word for word and the link to the deadspin article have been cut and pasted into this thread dozens of times over for a couple years now. It has also been posted on other forums. It strikes me that everyone involved in it except for the poor middle school kid was a lunatic and a loser. The club owner comes off as a real loser and the parents literally ignoring him while his messages kept coming in for weeks sounding more and klmore irrational was bush league too. They could have had more class to head's up the guy the kid was changing teams when they decided on that, but didn't and then threw blood in the water to suggest it was something they'd been looking into for some time.
Jesus, are all of these people less mature than the kids? Send a gracious email, let him know you're leaving and click send. Or call and say it in less than 2 minutes. Nobody is too busy to not do that for a month. Then the a'hole sends something that reads nasty: delete, permanently delete, block email from address. Go to phone block calls. It's almost as if none of these stupid parents ever needed to avoid a crazy ex. Maybe that's because all of them ARE the crazy ex who found happiness with another crazy. Anyways, that article is very funny and is a good example of what a pile of garbage Cabell Maddox is, but we all know that thank you very much. |
