This is sort of hard to explain, but no matter what top I wear the button/ zipper and my little bulge become the most noticeable thing. I tried to wear a long tanktop but the material was a little thin so you could still see everything. I don't wear tight clothing but not matter what I can see the things around my belly! ![]() THanks. |
Bella band. |
You need higher waist pants and a larger size.
Try Not Your Daughter's Jeans at Nordstrom. |
second bella band. wore that thing out while i was still post partum loose in the tummy. hides a smallish overhang, soft tummy, or little muffin top - but if you have something bigger than that you are gonna need some bigger fit pants that you can then have tailored to fit the rest of your body. |
Tunic. |
yes, tunics. Tory Burch style
Also, SPANKS are awesome. So great. They have ones that go up to your breasts, too. More structured, stiff shirts like the ones made by Theory (or a cheaper brand..I have actually found some at Ann Taylor and Express too). And looser pants that are fitted elsewhere but wider at the waist. Almost like men's tuxedo pants. Worked for me with the bulge, jeans are so unflattering most of the time, if you ask me! |
Spanx! I wear them all the time under my jeans. |
Also, control camis are great. I like the ones from Flexees - they are available from L&T and Macys. |
I find the bella band (or cheaper equivalent) works wonders. I wore it for YEARS after pregnancies to deal with belly bulge, just to smooth things down a little bit. Good thing for the summer is it covers just that little part of your body, and isn't a full-on girdle or camisole that will make you even hotter. |
I bought a little shaper at Target for 16.99 it's really comfortable--like a camisole. Helps smooth stuff out! |
