Looking for a good stable for my 5-year-old to begin lessons. We live in DC, but are willing to drive. Thanks in advance!

For that age, you could go to Shadybrook Stables in Mclean. They have a pony pals class for little kids that meets once a month. I think 5 is too young for real lessons at most places.

You can register at http://www.flyburst.com - we have hundreds of listings of sports and fitness-related activities
for kids through DC, Montgomery County, and Northern VA. We are a sort of "Craigs List" for these types of activities.
Once you register, search under "Equestrian" - you will find interactive listings with times, cost, contact info, etc. We are still
building up the database. When you register, set your preferences for "Age 5" and "Equestrian." We will send you a notification
when more listings are added that meet your needs. We are just getting started, but this will hopefully make life a bit easier
for parents.
