Drs. Russell Bridges and Virginia Thompson

Anonymous
Hello,

I've read the previous posts on Drs. Russell Bridges and Virginia Thompson, but thought that somebody might be able to provide more current information. I am planning to call tomorrow but thought that I might get a faster answer here

Are both accepting new patients?

And can both deliver at GWU and Sibley? If so, how is it determined where you will deliver? Do you get to choose or does it depend on where the Dr is when you go into labor?

Thanks!

Not sure if Dr. Thompson is accepting new patients or not, but I know she only delivers at Sibley. She is outstanding--if you can get in to see her, don't hesitate!

I'm a patient of Dr. Bridges and love him (also have heard good things about Virginia Thompson from friends). I believe he is taking new patients but the wait for a new patient appointment is long, probably over a month. He only delivers at Sibley unless you are high risk. In that case, you may want to switch to a high risk practice anyway.

Also, FYI - Dr. Thompson only takes BlueCross Blue Shield - I had to switch from her for that reason.

Thanks everybody. I just called and got an appointment with Dr Bridges for July (which is fine for me).
