Q2 parent here worried about the ECNL switch from BY to SY. The booming thread (headed to 500 pages no doubt) on that topic has suggested GA might stay BY. Any VRSC folks (or coaches) care to comment? Do you see GA teams waiting in the wings for the currently RAE advantaged ECNL Q1/Q2 players who are going to be hurt by a switch to SY? |
They Never have been worth it and now that they are a Loudoun 2.0 even less. All they got to brag about is a facility and a bar. They’re awfully quiet with no comments about their GA teams underperforming in California right now. Wonder why. |
The Loudoun parents and FCV staff are so cringe on here. We are very happy with our time and growth this year. I'm so happy we moved away from Loudoun specifically. Absolutely garbage coaching and teams caring about two players on the field and everyone else is just yelled at to pass to them. What a joke and waste of money. They are bleeding players even mid year repeatedly for a reason.
Is that better? Do you all have any other weekend weak trolling you'd like to add, pathetic garbage adults? ThEy HaVe A bAR is so hilarious. Enjoy your shit fields/facilities while we comfortably enjoy our wonderful one. No one cares or is avoiding VRSC because you sit in here complaining and moaning. |
Preach 🤚🤚 |
Respectable showing for VRSC’s GA teams at the Winter Showcase. Certainly not old FCV yet, but pretty impressive given how uniformly bad VRSC’s girls teams were last year. They’re certainly not the bottom-dwellers predicted here last Spring.
Does CC see the program on, ahead, or behind schedule? |
Definitely on schedule. |
Agreed. The whole girl's side has shifted (and dramatically for some ages/teams) to much tougher competition and overall done a great job adjusting. That doesn't mean winning every game. You have to start somewhere and it's unrealistic to expect them to dominate week after week. This is real life not a Disney movie. Compared to some very well established programs we've played the growth and talent/teamwork is fine and even great for certain teams. No one but the trolls and a few delusional parents (you get them at every club sadly) on here are dissatisfied with the way this year is going. |
A collective 2 wins out of 12 games and a GD of -13... 2/4 Virginia Revolution SC 10G GA 1-1-1 3GF 3GA 3/4 Virginia Revolution SC 09G GA 1-1-1 4GF 4GA 4/4 Virginia Revolution SC 08G GA 0-2-1 4GF 10GA 4/4 Virginia Revolution SC 07/06G GA 0-3-0 5GF 12GA |
It's a showcase event. Score doesn't really matter as long as the games were competitive which looks to be the case at least for 2010's and 2011's. That's a good sign for VRSC's next couple of years. Oldest age group doesn't matter either as colleges are mostly done recruiting 2025's and already committed players don't all want to pay for travel to CA. |
Now do TSJ and SYC's performance at this event... |
Ok so the older ages with just heritage VRSC players got whooped, and the younger ages with some FCV players did ok |
AFAIK there are no heritage VRSC players on any of the GA teams. They are all new to the club, mostly former FCV, but also plenty from other clubs too. The GA teams are really a brand new entity (different players, coaches, & training) with no connection to heritage VRSC. |
It sounds like there are too many teams for the level of talent in the region and expansion to VRSC was a mistake |
What does the performance of two other clubs have to do with VRSC? This is a thread about Revolution, is it not? |
The discussion was about if VRSC was on, ahead, or behind schedule? Since there are 3 GA programs in the area it's relevant to compare how VRSC is going compared with their local competition. We all know there isn't room for 3 GA teams long term so I'd say the performance of the two other clubs has a lot do with measuring VRSC's performance. |
