All I was able to learn from the Post article is that she worked under Rhee, and that the teachers' union doesn't like her. And that's a great first step.

What more is known?

It's my understanding that she was the one who drove most of the nuts and bolts initiatives during the Rhee years. For example, she oversaw the development and implementation of IMPACT.

She seems to be more diplomatic than Rhee and has corrected two of Rhee's mistakes so that's a good sign but I'm a bit depressed to hear that she was behind IMPACT. I'm not opposed to evaluating teachers somewhat based on test scores but I think it's really bad for the school system to evaluate them based on the first year of an unproven test. I'm glad dd has finished with DCPS. There was plenty of obsession with standardized testing before Rhee and I'm afraid that it surely must be even worse now.
