Crockpot question

If something says cook on low for 8-10 hours, can I instead cook it on high for like 6 hours? Time crunch here, thanks.

Yes -- I always add a little water in the pot so everything tastes really moist

Yes, but it depends on what you are cooking. Sometimes a higher cooking temp changes texture and taste. I had a catering business so I do know what I am talking about.
