what to do (if anything) once you're on a wait list?

we're top 10 on the wait list for PK at a school school we're love to attend and where in recent years the wait list moved more than 10 spots.

Do i just wait for them to call me after May 1st?

Do I call in the meantime and express my interest? Do I wait until after May 1st to call? Do I call more than once? Do I go in in person and speak with the principal? Do I do nothing?

Write a heartfelt letter expressing your reasons why it's the perfect fit for DC. Good luck.

Wait a week. Then call the school and tell them you are number X on the wait list and that it is your first choice school. Ask if you can come in and fill out an intent to enroll so they can enroll DC when their name comes up on the wait list. Be SUPER nice to the receptionist/admin person.
