shrimp- how long is it good?

Anonymous
If I cooked shrimp tonight (fresh, peeled and deveined), can I put it in the fridge and eat it tomorrow? Or is it one of those things that goes immediately bad? Thanks!

Tomorrow is fine. Quality might not be as good, but it won't kill you.

Definitely tomorrow is fine.

Fine...always smell it...the smell will tell you if it's good to eat or not...we often boil frozen shrimp and leave it in the fridge in an air tight plastic container for a day or 2 for a quick appetizer before dinner is ready.

3-4 days is fine if cooked. By day 4, won't taste as good plain, but fine for omelette filling, shrimp melt sandwich, etc.

Eh . . . I'd be very careful after 3 days. Only if your refrigerator is VERY cold and the shrimp were VERY fresh when you bought them. Not worth the risk!
