Inexpensive Housing in Key/Arlington Science district

Anonymous
Does anybody know of inexpensive apts, condos, townhomes in the Key/Arlington Science district? I would be looking for at least 2 bedrooms and ideally 3 bedrooms with a den.

What is inexpensive? Need a price range.

OP - $1500 to $2500 per month.

Did you look at apartments. com?

Other than that, you might need to drive around the area and jot down phone numbers from likely candidates, which often have a sign on the front of the building and nothing else in the way of advertising. ($2500 2BR rentals in Rosslyn and Clarendon don't have much of an advertising budget, as you can imagine.)

I think that most (if not all) of the 22201 zip code feeds into Key/ASF elementary schools. Also parts (or all) of 22209.

Your price range is challenging, but maybe try Colonial Village? They're a large development of garden style apartments and condos right near the Courthouse Metro, between Wilson Blvd. and Lee Hwy. GREAT location, but I don't know what they're like inside.

Here's a link: http://www.colonialvillagei.com/

Most of 22201 south of Wilson Blvd feeds into Long Branch; most of 22201 north of Wilson Blvd feeds into Key or Science Focus, but some is zoned for Taylor.

I think some of 22209 is zoned for Jamestown, or used to be, anyhow.

When was this?

I'm looking at the map

and I'm all "That's not how it was when my kid started school, dagnabbit!" Although maybe it was. Does 22201 go as far west as Quincy?

You won't find that sq for that $$ in that area. $1500 - $2500 in the lower end rentals will afford a 1bed (1500) 1bed+den (2000) 2bed (2500). Keep in mind that most advertised prices do not take into account utilites or parking.
