| and is it child friendly? |

Raku, yes
|
Everything is child friendly in Bethesda. Seriously. But some places are easier than others with kids and it depends on the kids' ages. Raku cannot accomodate a stroller and even highchairs would be difficult, though I'm sure they have them. It's one of those places where the tables are on top of each other and it's crazy crowded in there. But the food is good. |
OP didn't specify the age of kids. My kids are older so I tend to think of child friendly as "will they eat the food?". And they both like the food at Raku, and so do we. I focused on the first part of the question - what's my favoriate, with child friendly by my definition being secondary. |
| Mia's!! It is on Cordell (woodmont triangle side of Bethesda). |
| OP here. Sorry the kids are ages 3 and 7. Thanks for the suggestions so far. |
| Jaleo and Raku are my favorites, but with the kids we're more likely to head to Cafe Deluxe or Lebanese Taverna. |
| Guapo's is another pretty good option. |
|
Guardado's, but I can only speak for being friendly to the presence of kids - DS isn't old enough to eat off the menu yet. Seems like even picky kids might at least eat things like fried potatoes, pupusa, spanish omelette...
Also love Mia's. |
| Cafe deluxe is crawling with kids - and food is good. |

Mmmm, love Guapos. Also Cafe Deluxe is always decent. American Tap Room is also a new favorite of ours with our 2 yr old. |
| We went to Cafe Deluxe recently (2 weeks ago) and my DS likely got food poisoning there and 2 others of us didn't feel so hot either. |
| I think the food at Cafe Deluxe is terrible. We went for mother's day brunch last year and it was a huge disappointment. I make much better food at home. |
| Uncle Julio's Rio is our regular weekend lunch place in Bethesda (with 1.5 year old). Very child friendly. |
