Whatever happened to all the MAGA posters who regularly shared their grocery bills in 2024? They’ve gone remarkably silent.

I think Trump is horrible for the economy, but he is not responsible for the increases in beef prices.

You understand a lot of the cattle ranchers and slaughterhouse workers have bailed, right?

Actually Trump is responsible for the increase in beef prices.

Tariffs, ICE raids, claiming climate change is a HOAX. Yup. Trump and the GOP own it.

Oh? There’s a 50% tariff on Brazil just because they’re prosecuting Trump buddy Bolsanaro for his coup.

The problem is that I don't think the tariffs have fully hit products like this, though. The tariffs are just going to amplify other underlying domestic problems with beef production. Beef is just one product that is about to explode in price.

Please explain the “other underlying domestic problems with beef production” and how they’re in now way the fault of this administration. Is there a cattle flu going around? Because eggs were up due to bird flu.

My understanding is that droughts in past years have forced ranchers to sell off cattle. The shortage of cattle has driven up beef prices.

Now we know how quickly a president can break an economy. Took strong job growth and tanked it in 3 months. Wait until June/July get their final revision, probably going to see minus - signs next to those numbers.

Missing those steady Biden job gains ☹️

LOL, trump is plenty mads at the bureau of labor statistics and is going to fire the technocrat in charge and replace them with a lackey.
Anonymous
Donald is furious. He just fired the Commissioner of Labor and Statistics. He accused her of faking the current job reports. He will now insert somewhere who will report the numbers he wants and not the truth.

Wouldn’t be a problem if we could import without massive tariffs.
