Former employee of Arlington County Child Care Office opening a family day care

Hello All,

My name is Elizabeth and I have recently opened a family day care in my home. I recently left my position with Arlington County to do so. I have been working as a Child Care Specialist with the county for the past 5 years. As a Child Care Specialist I was responsible for licensing and monitoring family day care homes and preschool within the county. This was a wonderful and very gratifying job, but the truth is I missed working with children. Prior to this position, I worked for 6 years as an assistant director at a local preschool and prior to that as a teacher, an assistant and an aide. Basically, I have been working with children since I was a teenager . I am very excited to begin enrolling children.

My home is located in the Sleepy Hollow area of Falls Church, right off on 50 and very close in to Arlington. I will be charging $325.00 per week and will be open from 7:30 - 5:30. I am college educated, cpr/first aid certified and very passionate about my work. I will be serving nutritious and organic meals.
