Music Together Instrument recalled by CPSC

Anonymous
As read in the Post yesterday:

About 6,500 Basic Beat shaker guiro instruments, made by Taiwan and imported by Antigua Winds Inc., because surface paint on the products has high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by children. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled product is a ridged, cylinder-shaped percussion instrument that contains beads and is played by scraping a stick along the surface. One end of the instrument is red and the other end is blue. The products were sold at West Music stores in Iowa and Illinois, the West Music catalog, West Music booths at conventions and workshops nationwide, the Music Together Catalog, and online at http://www.westmusic.com and http://www.musictogether.com from November 2001 through March this year.
