Spotting after 36 wk vaginal exam, how long is this normal?

| I have a vaginal exam on Wed at 36 wks to check on cervix, etc.... - it was invasive, had a little spotting after - i know this is normal b/c I had it with 1st baby too....It's now Sat morning and still have a little spotting, its brown so i guess blood is old but is this normal 3 days later ? Its a long weekend so i hate to call dr. office, emergency, yada yada |

| I experienced the same thing. Spotting, abdominal pain, some thicker discharge and just an overall uncomfortable feeling. This lasted for about 2 or 3 days and 2 days after that I had another vaginal exam and I didm't have complaints after that one at all. Guess it's 'normal' ... I have read about this before. |

I posted earlier in the week with the same question. My spotting ceased at between 4-5 days.
