Just out of curiosity to the ladies out there, I'm wondering what age men stopped hitting on you?
In my early thirties and I feel like I haven't gotten hit on in ages......no construction workers whistling, no "hey baby" as I walk by a group of seedy dudes, absolutely no hint of flirting from any man whatsoever. I do try to dress nicely, workout regularly, and be well-groomed. The last time I got hit on was two years ago as I was walking to meet up with a friend in DC, a man in an orange jumpsuit doing trash-collection as part of his community service for a DUI blatantly tried to put the moves on me. The time before that a Walmart employee staked me out, insisted on carrying my cat litter out to the car, and asked for my digits. As someone who has always been historically described by men as "cute" and never sexy or hot, I somewhat enjoyed the small amount of attention I received from time to time walking about and doing my business. I'm guessing the extreme drought over the last 5 years is due to a combination of my wedding ring, living in the suburbs, working around mostly women, not putting a vibe out there, the extra 10 pounds I put on, retiring my hoochie clothes permanently, and the inevitable loss of any mojo I once had. The six month old baby and post-partum body has probably put the nail in this coffin forever

| Occasionally still, and I'm 43. BUT it really dropped off when I started dating my husband. For me at least a lot of it depends on the signals I'm giving out, and I haven't been flirty at all for 10 years or so. The guys who do hit on me now are usually at work, and completely inappropriate. |

In my experience, it takes a year after childbirth to send out vibes again.

| I'm 26, I still do, even though I still haven't lost my pregnancy weight (DC is 2), so I don't think it depends only on how in shape you are. That being said, my mom is 55 and she ALWAYS gets hit on by man around her age, including married ones. She is in shape and looks great, but definitely looks her age, and that to me is a good thing. |
| I'm way over 21 but I hope never. Not interested but it's good for my ego. |
| I'm 33, also a "cute" girl (or was), and I haven't been hit on in a few years. I got married at 30, and haven't seen much action since the ring has been on the finger. Of course, now that I'm usually hauling my 1 yo around with me, what little action there was has completely died out. Plus, I never go out anymore. No one hits on me at Wegman's though. |
| Almost 36 here.. Still get hit on all the time- Maybe I'm sending out the single vibe??! Anyways, obviously no one of quality has hit on me in awhile, since I'm still single! |
| 37, married with 2 kids. Still get hit on regularly when the kids aren't around ... I agree it's how you look and has nothing to do with age. |
| 40 and hit on today while out and about and looking a hot mess. |

44...
I'm hoping it will pick back up though, getting ready to buy hair dye |

When I was 39 I lost about 20 pounds and men started hitting on me again.
Now I'm 40 and I've gained it back.... no action. |
| I'm 38 and I got hit on last week at the library (wedding ring and all). |

Turned 41 last week and still get hit on. Though the frequency has dropped somewhat and the caliber of men doing the 'hitting' has gone down.
This month- I had a guy jump out of his UPS truck recently to tell me I was beautiful...it was the one day I was actually glammed up a little to go to work. I also had a guy my dad's age hand me his business card at Starbucks this weekend which was kind of freaky. Post-kids, late 30s, things definitely slowed but haven't died off completely. |
| Things slowed after I hit 30. It saved me from that awkward "I'm a lesbian" conversation. |
