Interesting post about how janitors face higher tax rates than millionaires in this country... |
too bad there is no hard data for the little people

Too bad there is no fox for the little people |
and your point is? |
How much hard data do you need to calculate a janitor's taxes? It fits on a 1040 EZ. |
So you want to argue that 47% pay zero Federal Income tax is erroneous with theory and can not show it. |
I don't see the outrage. #1, the "rich" residents are paying $170K each in annual taxes. That is a lot of $$$. #2, employee taxes for SS and medicare should be treated differently, since those are retirement health and retirement pension. You put in what you get out. I'd exclude those from the study. |
It's not theory. Tax law is law. |
A. You don't pay what you get out. It is not a 401k. B. Our Budget is over 50% Medicare and social security. So if you don't count those taxes, you are ignoring roughly half of what Americans pay to uncle Sam every year. C. As republicans have angrily opined out with obamacare, if you are forced to pay for it, it is a tax. You would be a hypocrite to say obamacro is a tax and Ss/Medicare is not. |
Obamacare not obamacro and pointed out. |
