problems posting?

Hi Jeff,

I've noticed I have a problem posting from another computer, I get a 403 error and a message along the lines of "you don't have authority to post on this server".

Do you know what might be causing that?

I just had the same problem. I thought I was banned for admitting I didn't always return my shopping cart.

Maybe it was because i was trying to post using Opera.

If you are using unusual or out-of-date browsers, you may be blocked from posting. That is because spambots often are based on old browsers. Any version of Opera that is not current will likely be blocked from posting. I try to monitor the logs and when someone is blocked, I investigate (assuming I have the time). If it looks like a legitimate poster, I modify my rules to make an exception. So, you might try again after a few hours of being blocked (unless you are using an old browser version). Otherwise, email or post her about it and I will try to fix it. I will need to know the time that you tried posting and, if possible, your IP address. Your browser version might also be helpful.

I think I am using a fairly up to date version of firefox, but I can check. Is there an email address somewhere?(posting about it can be difficult )

I had the same problem the other day and I'm pretty sure I have an up-to-date browser. Then it went away. I tried to use the comment box on dcurbanmom but it wouldn't even let me do that. Anyway, glad it's sorted out.
