| I love Wegman's as much as anyone. But I have to know for those of you who travel 1/2 hour or more, HOW do you find the time to go there? I would love to go there once a week, but it is simply not reasonable. How do you make time? When do you go? During the week? |
| Friday night date night! Dinner in the cafe followed by leisurely walking around/shopping. We've done this at the Dulles store. Love Wegman's! |
| This isn't really a question about Wegman's, it's about time management. If you put that in the title of your post you might get mire helpful replies. I stop on my way home from work and let DH do dinner/bathtime with the baby. |
| We're like 23:30 and go on Friday nights. We go to the Fairfax store. |

I love Wegmans and I hate it. It's SO busy and crowded. I get claustraphobic while shopping there. And people drive their carts like they do their cars - badly. Courtesy is lacking. Hard to navigate the aisles.
However I do love the meats and love that the checkout lanes move quickly. |
| We drive about 20 minutes to get there. We don't do every week - but when we do go, I try to go on Sunday mornings - it isn't as busy, we have a bite to eat to satisfy the kids and I get coffee. The only reason we travel there is their prepared foods. We typically get a couple of the $6 meals (big enough to share) and provides dinner for Mon/Tues and a few of the pasta and/or salad bowls for lunch. |

I only shop there late in the evening, around 9:30 or 10. I typically go on a Friday or Saturday night. Aisles are wide open with very limited shoppers. They are open until midnight. Downside is that sometimes the fruits and veggies might notbe fully stocked. Still, I typically find that I am able to get what I need for produce. If not, I get the missbg items from Giant the next day.
Can't beat their prices. I think a gallon of whole milk was $2.49 on my last trip. Whereas I think I paid $3.89 or something close from Safeway the week prior. (strongly dislike Safeway, by the way. Agreedwith so much that was written in the recent safeway thread.) chicken breast, club pack, is ALWAYS $1.99/pound. Giant has periodic sales on their large packs, I think $1.79/pound....but again, that only their sale price as compared to Wegmans everyday price. Also, I LOVE that the wegmans bulk package already separates the chicken - 2 breasts per sealed portion. Hello, time saver! No more partitioning out the chicken from Giant! Now, I cut 2 portions out and keep in fridge and remaining go straight to freezer. I could go on and on about my love for wegmans! I do draw the line/love at shopping their during the day on a weekend. Did that once and it was a nightmare. Never again. They had people offering taste tests IN the already crowded aisles. WTH???? |
| I've never been to a Wegman's and have no interest in traveling to buy groceries!! |
| I go Sunday mornings or late evening. I don't go there more than once a month because of the 25-30 min drive to get there. I go to stock up on meats and dry goods. They also have yummy birthday cakes. |
Obviously. |
| what is the time that is not so crowded? sunday around 9am? |
