McNair AAP center or Floris in-school AAP

Anonymous
We have bought a home in the Floris boundary for a variety of reasons like school quality and diversity. My child is in first grade and will be tested for AAP next year. In case he gets selected, what is your opinion about McNair AAP center vs. Floris in-school AAP? Is McNair AAP center better than what others on this forum claim about McNair school?

If you look at the school board docs from 2008-2009 none of the 37 new GT kids from floris 3rd grade went to mcnair of those who had a choice. In the previous year, according to the school board docs (a previous thread has the link), when it was the first year of the mcnair program there was a half-and-half split, but after that year it looks like most of the kids in floris stayed in their local program (kind of like spring hill local level 4). Does the mcnair program do continental math league in grades 4-6? Does mcnair have a school-wide science fair?
