I understand that the lacrosse world has parents that think they are "elite" or "snooty" but I am not sure that simply stating recruiting results and warning the next year girls to be mindful of their decision making is off base in anyway. The statements made here will cause parents to dig deeper and make educated choices for their daughters. Everyone understands that their will be biases etc.

Ahh. Don't sound like so much of a no dog in the fight person any longer. Capital has spent the last year denigrating anything they can about MDDC. A team of 8th grade girls. It's quite possible you're just coming on now and don't have the context of 100 pages, but it certainly has been more than posting old recruiting records and to be mindful.

Anyone that is influenced from statements on DCUM made on either side will be deserving of the outcome they get. Being ignorant to the world around you and needing this particular toxic online chat board to inform or incent you is wild.

still me here - I genuinely have not seen denigrating. I have seen people post about previous promises made by Next Level and to be mindful of that. I have also seen people point out that M&D DC may be comparable to M&D Orlando and not necessarily comparable to M&D Black and to be mindful of that. I have never seen anyone denigrate the 8th grade girls if anything I have seen them say they are a talented bunch that have already been on teams like American Select etc so therefore should be contenders to make Capital if that is indeed their choice.

This is a flat out hilarious post, so thanks for this and the laugh. Fairly sure everyone's determined what their next steps are going to be, so not sure we have to play policeman or attempt to rewrite or whitewash history.
We're all going to find out in the next couple weeks what end is up.

Are the coaches from the 2026 teams not taking the 29s? That’s usually how it’s been.

2026 coach is Alice Mercer who is now coaching at Georgetown so no longer coaching at Capital. Not sure if her assistant coach will stay or if they will have a new team of coaches?

Status quo bias will win out in the end. Capital will get most of the elite kids and also the insecure parents who have networked their kids roster spots. A few parents will see upside in the risk/reward prop the non - Capital clubs are selling and get the results they are seeking. If your kid can play they will be fine. If they can't you will be a frequent toxic poster.

I would not be surprised. According to DCUM, the YJMA club head bought a lemon years ago that didn’t pan out. Looks like they are investing a bunch to turn that around now. I’m definitely impressed.

I agree. Girls will leave MDU Bethesda mid-year when they realize what they are stuck with. And will need a place to go.

LOL!!!!! ask any SR lax parent. There is zero chance that KM will spend her summer weekends coaching in NJ, Maryland and Delaware with a bunch of players who could not make Capital.
