Travis was house hunting before he even met Taylor. Since dating Taylor there have been media and random people parked outside his house 24/7. So he had to purchase a house that was more secure/private even though the new house is not in his desired location.

For him and his crew. Can’t have the media and fans seeing all of the shenanigans taking place at his house.

You don’t gain the skills for being a good partner by being the type of partner he was in that relationship. It has been really shocking to see how obsessed people are with ragging on Kayla when she has nothing to do with his current relationship other than looking like other women he has dated. NP but we can have a broader definition of sexy or at the least agree different people will find different things sexy. Taylor is young and cute with boobs and a good body (LEGS!) and she wears skimpy outfits on stage. That is more than enough for a lot of dudes.
