If you are going to inject poison into your face, than why would you trust a doctor that has no experience in doing anything UNDER the surface of the skin?
Only Plastic Surgeons are trained in these injections during their residency. Others just take a day seminar. While on that note, why would you trust a derm to remove anything from your skin needing stitches, no ones ever taught them how to stitch you up. There are many different types of instruments and techniques depending on the type of skin. I do feel bad that insurance pays so low that doctors need to to more "elective" (cash) procedures to make up for it, but it's still wrong. What other procedures are being offered outside a doctors "trained" specialty? OBGYN doing tummy tucks ENTs doing "lifestyle" facelifts What else? |

Well, only younger plastic surgeons would have received injection training during their residencies - the ones out of residency for awhile would have to go to the same seminars that the derms and other docs take.
But I don't think you wanted a sincere answer. |
| Younger being how old? Mine is in his 40s and had the training in his residency. I don't think I'd go to one much older than that. |
