Preparing wild vs. farmed salmon

Anonymous
Ok I WANT to buy wild salmon, because I know it's better for us and the environment, but clearly I have no idea how to cook it. Because it always ends up sort of dry and blah. It even looks sort of dry and blah in the fish counter, compared to its glossy, fat farmed counterpart. How do you cook wild salmon?!

I baste with olive oil and lemon juice and then lightly season. I bake in toaster oven (not too long - maybe 10 minutes -depending on thickness).
Turns out yummy everytime, although I haven't had the other kind so can't compare.

yes! know your salmon
there are bunch of different wild salmon-king, dog and the rest, some only like salmon taken from x river(copper river) I can't eat the farmed stuff anymore, think it taste funny
this site has a bunch of recipe

as for grilling it
"Preheat grill to medium-high. Place fish on grill (skin side down if you want to eat the skin, otherwise skin side up) and walk away. Do not be tempted to touch it. After about 3 minutes, try to turn the fish. If it is still sticking, leave it on for a couple more minutes. When it is ready it will turn easily. Again, leave it to cook on the second side; it should only take a couple of minutes. (We enjoy good wild salmon still pink in the middle.)
