mucus plug

Does every woman notice when they loose their mucus plug? I have noticed an increase in vaginal discharge but nothing is discolored. I am 36 weeks, almost 37 and at times when I am sitting at work I feel a slight gush and wonder if my water broke or I lost the plug but then I go to the bathroom and it is just a little excess discharge. Sorry for the details.

Experienced the same thing at 38 weeks. Nothing colored or with blood but just excess discharge. I thought it would mean I could go into labor but I am 40 weeks now and nothing happened
