Loudoun Futura Program?

| Anyone have experience with this program? My dc's test scores put him in the district referral pool. I went to the meeting about gifted services, but did not get much information there. Anyone out there have feedback on screening process, program, etc? Thanks! |

I believe it's still one day per week, pullout-based, at the FUTURA center designated in the feeder school pyramid (e.g. Countryside Elem. for Algonkian, Horizon et al.) Busing is provided.

My son is also be screened for this program, I have asked around about it, but no one can give me much information. I know it is one day a week and the kids are expected to make up any work that is missed in class. Any parents out there with a child in this program that would like to share their experiences? Any idea how many kids are in a class? What kinds of activities they do? Do the kids seem to enjoy it?
