Problem with my tongue - which doctor to see?

I have been having a problem with my tongue for over a week now. I cant really taste much and it hurts a lot when I eat. Should I see my general practitioner, an ENT or other? I'd really rather not go to my GP if they are just going to send me elsewhere.

Sounds like thrush. Your gp should be able to handle it.
