Tandem vs. Side to Side Stroller

I am expecting my second child and my kids will be 23 months apart. Can anyone please give me any suggestions as to whether a tandem stroller or a side-by-side stroller is a better option. I can't make up my mind. We have a Honda Pilot so space is not an issue. However, I am pretty much a weaklin' and I am short, but my hubby is strong

If you could please tell me if your kids are of different ages, that would help as mine will almost be 23 months apart, so I need to accomodate both of their needs.

Thanks!

We did a nanny share so each family had to supply a double stroller (my daughter was 6 months and the 2nd family's daughter was 2 1/2 years old.) When I went BuyBuy Baby, the manager recommended a tandem. Her rationale was if the children are different weights, side-by-sides can flip.

I think the ones where the kids are in front of each other are much harder to push and steer. We have a Valco Twin (side-by-side). Very easy to push and designed to fit through a standard door, although it it sometimes a squeeze.
