Labor classes and C-Section

If you were having a c-section, would you take a labor class?

no -- you don't labor w/ a section -- particularly a scheduled one. you arrive and get prepped for surgery.

I'd beg to differ. If it is your first pregnancy, I'd take one just so you know what the signs of labor are in case you end up in labor before your scheduled c-section. Or else I guess you could just read a book. But a class might make it sink in a little more.

well, i think i would. our six-week class covered much more than delivery - it covered infant care, breastfeeding, hospital tour, what to expect from a C section, pregnancy health, how to discern preterm labor from practice contractions, etc.

In the same boat and I took a class called childbirth 1-2-3. I largely though it was a waste of time. Just go for the hospital tour.

No, I didn't. I had two c-sections. Good luck to you! I loved my c-sections.
