Struggling how? Financially? I feel like the new college admissions person and the new head of school and new head of admissions are bringing some energy to the school.

Dwight we know little about. Will have to do our research...

NP - People on FB try to sell Birch hard and it isn't a good look when people say they always have opening.

Birch has such low enrollment I never understood how they are staying open. Used to work at Dwight. The high school kids were awful.

Birch was approaching the death spiral but has new administration and is doing much better. It is never going to be mistaken for TT but it is a solid school. I know kids who have had good experiences and exmissions from there. Definitely would choose it over Dwight.

Sure, but they aren't so desperate to fill seats that they advertise open spots on their website. Check out the BWL website. "BWL welcomes second round applications..." for every entry point (except high school because those results just came out).

Anecdotal, but I know two families who were offered a spot in the second round of applications after the parent tour *without* meeting the applicant. Not saying the school is terrible, but I would be worried about their ability to fill seats (and maybe who was filling those seats if they're not meeting kids?)
