Favorite Christmas song?

We loved the Harry Simeon’s Chorale as kids and that is really still my preferred Christmas album—all of the traditional tunes. O Holy Night is my favorite; my all time favorite rendition is by Mahalia Jackson. All of her Christmas albums are amazing.

Mahalia Jackson has one of the top 5 voices of all time IMO. Her "Go Tell it on the Mountain" is about as pure and powerful as you can get.

Once in Royal David's City by the soloist at the beginning of the annual carol service by the Kings College chapel choir at Cambridge. I got to be there live one year. Stunning setting and amazing singing.

My other favorite is the Coventry Carol.

Oh, yes!! My mom adored Mahalia Jackson, and we played her religious CDs practically 24/7 the last week of my mom's life in hospice care.
