PP here. I have never visited the feedback forum. |
The problem we’ve identified is the deletion of your posts and posts by other atheists on DCUM. This is an anonymous online forum, which attracts bullies in a way you probably don’t see among your atheist friends in the community. It seems clear that you said something offensive and that’s why your posts were deleted. Nobody here is offended by someone saying “I’m an atheist,” in fact you’ve been saying that for pages with no repercussions, so you need to stop pretending that’s the problem. If you really can’t figure out why your posts are offensive enough to warrant deletion, then you need to ask the moderator who deleted them. It might be a learning opportunity for you. |
I disagree with the premise of your post. Not only did I not say anything that was insulting, but entire dialogues -- with posts from both sides -- were deleted. This includes the posts I was responding to. |
Ask the moderator. I can’t help you because I don’t know the posts you’re talking about. Start a thread on the feedback forum to ask him. I think you’ll find, however, that the moderator, who is an atheist himself, doesn’t delete without reason. Whether you realize or are willing to acknowledge it, you or another atheist said something offensive, or derailed the thread with your personal agenda. Then, deleting an offensive post sometimes does require deleting responses to that post, so the offensive post disappears entirely and the thread makes sense afterwards. |
Many people like to be snarky on the internets. That's not proselytizing. |
I don't remember that. I've been on here a long time too. Was this a recent thing? |
|
^ I've been trying to avoid the nasty atheist haters so I haven't been paying close attention to this forum recently.
|
Some of them even knock on your door to share. |
But it is trying to change minds. And don’t whine when your offensive snark gets deleted. |
I don’t. |
It’s not mature, mentally well-adjusted, either. Are you the President? Do better. |
Meh. Just trying to explain “motivations”. Calling out someone’s ignorance is the sport. Not changing minds. Not proselytizing. |
Troll admits to trolling |
Not necessarily. Maybe if you aren't very sure of yourself? |
My work here is done. Trolling with a soupçon of calling out what I think is ignorance in the hopes of converting (no other word for it) someone who isn’t sure of themselves. 19:14: this is the behavior we’re all complaining about. This guy is on here 24/7. |
