WUSA scrubbed all videos of dreadlock hoax and denies Mikea Turner's family friends disclosure?

Still bitching about this? I'm sure if it had actually happened you would have long forgotten about it. If you cared at all.

Priorities, people.

Lie <<< Assault

We have bigger fish to fry.

Have you ever heard of Tawana Brawley? Look up that name and see what you find and then rethink the above.

I KNOW y'all not trying to open up a discussion about all the cases in which a purported victim of an assault lied about the circumstances or falsely accused someone.
And I KNOW y'all not trying to divvy it up along racial lines. Please tell me you are Not That Friggin Stupid to open this can of worms.
Cause if you got any common sense whatsoever you would KNOW damn well that it's waaaaaaaaaaaay more white folks throughout history who have falsely accused black people of crimes than black folks.
Hell, for damn near a century from the end of the Civil War all the way up to the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement it was common knowledge that thousands of innocent black men were lynched or thrown in jail based off of the straight up LIES of white people.
Let's not go there...please. Let's not make this a pissing contest. Let's stick with this story because if you try to go there and divvy up the instances of false allegations along racial lines you are not going to like the harsh reality of those results.

Move on people.

We can't do anything about what happened "throughout history." We CAN do something about things that are happening currently.

This little girl and the 3 boys she accused have been alive on this planet for 12 years. This is not about historical injustice. This is about a kid wanting approval from the adults that she admired and looked up to. Just think how much that child must have looked up to Mikea and how much Mikea's sympathy and approval would have meant to that kid. THAT is what this whole thing is all about.

At the expense of 3 innocent boys lives!!! The fact that they were willing to DESTROY three children's lives so they could "sympathy and approval" is what this is about!

The girl was probably trying to keep from getting in trouble and had no idea what would happen. She should be expelled and family pay costs. Instead it will get ignored.

She will be disciplined through the school and the court. Just because this media circus happened doesn't mean that she gets out of it. She lied and will pay the consequences for it.

The media situation is a totally different ball of wax. They, too, will have their own accountability - whether through lawsuits, criminal charges or simply a loss of professional reputation and all credibility.

Lets be real. The court isn't going to do anything and they shouldn't except order the family to pay expenses. It wouldn't serve her any good as a child to go to juvenile detention or a facility where she'll learn worse things. A crappy home life with those people is punishment enough. The school probably will not do anything even though they should expel her as they are going to be scared of being accused of racism.

None of that has anything to do with what just happened. Child made a serious false allegation and she should be expelled from the school. The family, if they are decent people, should pay for the attorney fees and other expenses that the other families and the school had to pay to defend themselves. This turned racial as the girl pushed the fact she was being attacked at school because of her race by white boys. If race wasn't involved, maybe it wouldn't have escalated the way it did. But, sadly this turned into another race incident and its something everyone can learn from. But, instead you think its ok based on history?

The family played the system. They knew there would be no real problem to the girl. Of course they were ready to trash the boys and the school. They should be expelled. But they won’t be. Reverse racism

My response was specifically for the doofus PP who decided to bring up old shit (i.e. Tawana Brawley) which has absolutely nothing to do with this incident other than that idiots ignorant attempt to equate the two based on the race of the accusers. I shut that PP up and said “let’s stick with THIS story”.

This is a Christian school and they will absolutely handle this in a way that is best for the girl. It might not be what the grandparents want and the grandparents might choose a different path than is suggested, but this child is loved and cared for. The police and the courts will, of course, override the school and the family. That is a different issue.

That's the thing. Suppose there wasn't whatever hard evidence was available (video apparently). What would have happened? It would she said versus three boys who deny it. This would haunt those boys for the rest of their lives. "Activists" wouldn't let it go. She is a loose cannon just waiting for the next allegation.

Remember, too, that they risked that this story could backfire on this girl, too. This kid was going to be found out and disciplined by the school and possibly the authorities. But her punishment would never have involved this brutally public humiliation. She's 12!

What? They LIED in order to destroy innocent lives and you're worried about HER "brutal humiliation?"

I'm saying that 12 year old kids sometimes lie and do very regrettable things. The school and the police would have dealt with this child appropriately - had they been given the opportunity to do so.

Instead Mikea and the grandparents had to blast this story out there and convict those boys in the media before the matter could be properly looked into and all the facts sorted out.

It is my opinion that Mikea did this because she thought that the girl could not be disproved. She was anticipating this to all boil down to another he said, she said where the "victim never would lie about such a thing". Of course there was a risk that the girl could be found out but Mikea was wiling to put this child out there because getting the story was worth the risk to the girl in Mikea's mind. The boys were simply collateral damage. The damage to those boys was not something that Mikea ever factored into her decision to put this out there. She had bigger fish to fry.

Do you know -like personally know- any actual tv reporters? Because it sounds like you don't. You're describing a reporter the way Hollywood would portray one. So you're basically just talking out of your ass. So can you at least admit that much?

I know. What she did was sort of crazy! But she did it!

So, again: do you know any real, actual reporters?

She is very young. I hope and pray that she learns from this and will become a strong, loving and positive voice for the young girls who look up to her in the future.
