Well, he sure screwed up the opening with that ridiculous parody that was so misleading.

It wasn't misleading. You just didn't like where it led to.

I love Schiff, but Republicans are going to exploit the hell out of that parody. Republicans and Trumpkins don’t understand parody, irony, satire, or anything that isn’t black and white. I can hear it now...”Schiff is a liar!!! You can’t believe anything the Democrats say!” Wish he hadn’t done that.

Oh, we understand parody. But, his use of it in the hearing was totally inappropriate. Using it signaled that this whole hearing would be a joke - which it was.

It doesn’t matter. We know the house will impeach. We know the senate won’t convict.

Actually I'm not so sure about that now. Not if the charge is that the President told Ukraine if they wanted military aid then they had to dig up dirt on the Bidens.

You realize that this investigation could bring down a large part of the Executive Branch - Pence, Barr, Pompeo, the WH counsel's office, Parts of DOJ, right? Does the GOP want to pay that price?

If this is the charge, it will never happen. Because, this is not what happened.
My question is will Nancy take a vote?

DOJ - buried the complaint
OLC - buried the complaint
FBI - we don't know yet, need to hear from Wray
Pence - met with Ukrainians in Poland to reiterate the con
Barr- buried the complaint
Pompeo- fired the Ambassador, possibly provided Guiliani with contacts via State Dept
Mulvaney - illegally withheld congressional authorized funds
Rudy - working outside legal bounds on behalf of the United States Government

I am sure there are others, but I agree with the PP who suggested this could take out a good chunk of the government. If a kid can get 5 years for dealing a joint or a mom can get 5 years for registering her kid for the wrong school, these crimes should supersede those in severity, assuming it is proved.

It wasn't about digging up dirt, there was no dirt. It was about manufacturing dirt.

You are totally adding your spin to the testimony today and to the facts as we know them. Not surprised at all that you would do this......

If the conversation were as damning as Schiff would like, he would have simply read directly from it, instead of making up dialogue. It is not surprising that he decided to get theatrical in light of the extravagant collusion claims he made for 2 years.

The point Schiff was making was that Trump used mafia tactics to make his conversation sound innocuous, when it really wasn't. And you know that.

Let's assume there was dirt. It doesn't make what Trump is/was doing any less legal or ethical.
