| Well, some of the superhero films are quite well acted. Dr. Strange, Black Panther. This one doesn't look of the same caliber, but I guess if it's good fun with eye candy that's something. |
That’s 2 movies out of how many? Set realistic expectations for a superhero movie. Attractive lead with a few laughs. |
Going to see it today! My husband is never amused with the smile on my face and glow in my eyes whenever I see Jason Mamoa. |

“Aquaman” will become the first DCEU film to hit the $1 billion mark!
Thank you Momoa and Momoa’s abs! https://theplaylist.net/aquaman-750-million-box-office-20181230/ |
| The movie itself was horrible, but he is fun to look at. I say this as a huge fangirl of superhero movies. We took two 12 year olds and they both laughed hysterically AT the movie. |
Mine benefits from the smile on my face after I see Jason Mamoa. |

The movie was kind of entertaining
Saw it yesterday He is ... I mean... take me now. Anyway, the dialogue was terrible. And there was zero character development. To the point that I thought I had missed a prequel or something. The underwater stuff was really fantastic eye candy. Almost as good as him. Not quite. The editing and music was perplexing. So many weird choices Amber Heard’s wig was so bad. Just awful. I was staring at the lace of EVERYONE’s wig actually. And Nicole Kidman just stuck out terribly. There was a scene and you just tell she was the ONLY person listening to anything. Like Amber and Jason were reciting with inflection, but weren’t reacting to anything. Just perfunctory. He could be good. I hope he’s working with a good teacher. |
If your husband is a smart man he'll figure out how to take advantage of that.

+1 I thought DCUM DH learned something from the I’d Hit That Thursday thread. Steve Rogers in his Nomad costume = 15 min of foreplay. |
Thor Ragnarok is incredibly good. |
To each there own bc I def wouldn’t call it incredibly good. |
Totally agree with your list and especially about the music. In fact, the music just flat out sucked. It was the worst part for me then the acting. |

Aquaman just crossed one billion which means a sequel with Arthur is DEFINITELY happening.
Yes, baby can't wait. https://variety.com/2019/film/news/box-office-the-upside-beats-aquaman-1203106636/ |
| How much money do the principal actors make when a movie is so successful? Do they just get a salary or also a cut of the profits? |
Basically agree. It was fun and goofy and beautifully shot. I'd watch it again but I wouldn't call it "good." |
