Too many other Metro accessible areas being built up. Developers have pulled their money and are investing else where. That is the Canary in the mine. Many houses over 1.25m are sitting and have no takers.

Snort.

Metro isn't a desirable amenity.

LOL! My colleague moved to "Arlintucky" as we affectionately call it. She couldn't get to work today b/c her Mercedes convertible doesn't do well in the snow and the buses are running on a snow schedule. She wants to move back to DC.

A ringing endorsement for the kind people of DC.

God- she sounds like a complete pussy. Drive in from Clarendon and made it in record time for rush hour (10 min) since nobody was on the roads.

I don't get the Arlintucky comment. What? because Arlington is all backwoods and corncob pipe smokin'?

What often happens on DCUM is that people will make claims without checking the facts, and then keep arguing about it. Easy to do on an anonymous forum without losing too much face. When it becomes clear they're wrong, they'll claim it's irrelevant, or one of their embarrassed neighbors will step in and do it for them.

Or.....it's just completely irrelevant and nobody else cares except the argumentative know-it-alls who have nothing better to do.

I'll add that the posters who don't have anything left to back up their arguments resort to ad hominem attacks.

To be fair, the houses passing as middle class in North Arlington are almost the same size and quality as the trailers of Kentucky.

As opposed to the uniformly sprawling, updated housing in the District? That might win for dumbest comment on this thread, and that is really saying something.
