Obama was very disappointed when he visited this place, especially with sandwiches like the pound hound and the far molly

The issue for me isnt that he ate dog as a child, it is the lack of any commentary about it knowing a US audience would be reading his book and most Americans find this culturally unacceptable.

I think he did not expect that he would have to explain this to anyone. He wrote on the same page about longing for more civilized things to eat. Does he really have to take a break from his story to make sure the public knows his stance on dog-eating??

Why would he have to figuratively hold your hand while you read his autobiography?

Assuming you read it.

To me, animal flesh is animal flesh. I'll happily bite into a chicken, but I feel sick at the thought of eating a dog. However, I realize that's just a cultural hypocrisy and that the reverse is true for many people of other cultures.

This is such a gift to Romney . Every time team Obama attacks or tries to divide... Team Romney just points out that they are mean people, the kind who would cook and eat a dog.... Then continue to campaign on the horrible economy B O is in charge of (foodstamps, downgraded, money printing, forclosures, bankruptcies, zombie banks, government motors ,massive massive debt, failing military and foriegn policy, windfarms.). I smell blood in the water.

Oh yeah, most of that list is SO new, so recent, and so Obama's doing. He just took out his magic wand and created all these problems, all by himself.

Translation: My party is full of illiterate hillbillies who hate Obama but are too lazy to read the book he wrote about himself. After four years we finally found someone who could read a book without pictures, and there was stuff that reinforced our racism. I wonder if in four years someone will read another chapter? Our best minds are on it.

LOL.

Cultural hypocrisy? I'm not willing to be multi-cultural when it comes to dog haunch at the social Safeway.
