You mean like sending our military into blue cities, tear gassing and arresting Americans? That sort of thing? You’re right. That would be very Hitler/Stalinesque. |
Well that's exactly why a lot of people went to the march dressed up like frogs and axolotls and other silly characters, and why they did not engage in any violence. Because, if Trump did try to crack down on it, people would realize it was unilaterally Trump being violent and that would spur a massive backlash. That is exactly how revolutions start. It's what got Yanukovich tossed in Ukraine and many other crooked politicians - peaceful protest cracked down on with force, Yanukovich deployed Berkut forces to violently crack down on protesters, who were mostly just kids. That absolutely infuriated the masses, and then it wasn't just the kids, it was their parents and grandparents out on the streets with much bigger numbers. Video of SWAT teams beating up or shooting someone in a silly frog suit would be an absolute disaster for Trump. And that's the point of wearing them. And meanwhile, the crowds are growing. It was 5 million last time, 7 million this time. |

He’s incapable of doing anything genuinely good that helps the American people without a) benefiting himself and b) harming someone else. He wants states to handle their own disasters— no desire to actually HELP— but boy oh boy, if a state or city didn’t support him in the election, he’s all for federal involvement and declaring a blue city a disaster zone. The money flows
to punish and assert power. |
And the largest toilet plunger ever to push him in. |
When I saw the images of the riot geared national guardsman with his rifle trained on and staring down the floppy costumed protestor, the modeled on the flopping in the breeze, happy waving gas station blowup, I immediately got the why. The imagery was stunning, in one 3 second shot we got just how absurd the entire occupy the dangerous cities really is. That one guy in the floppy suit made a total mockery of the entire admin. Now we just need one guardsman’s to lose it and fire into the crowd, down goes peace loving gumby, and down goes the admin. If I don’t see that image in every dem candidate election video when the time comes, then someone needs to lose a job. |
But you’re ignoring how gerrymandered the individual districts are. So most of those R’s come from districts that Trump won pretty handily (many of them come from districts Trump won 3 times). And even the ones that come from more balanced districts are afraid because the truth is that once Trump sets his vindictive retaliatory sights on you, there will be a lot of crap poured your way. Look at Cheney, Flake, Romney, and Kinzonger. Those folks were brave enough and had the integrity to stand up and say “this is not in our country’s best interest” and he took them down. It’s a mob mentality of omertà and I do believe most of them are 40% scared, 30% enjoying the grift and 30% there for the policies. |
You forgot the rubber bullets and ice. |
This theory forgets that there are more of them than Trump. Also, they would get cushy law firm gigs making more $$ so some theorized threats is WAY too generous. They’re willing to screw their own grandkids for Trump? Only because they believe in him. Otherwise why? |
Can you imagine if his cronies in government used the threat of regulatory action against TV networks to silence critics? And if his Attorney General said that she'd prosecute people cheering Charlie Kirk's assassination as hate speech? Man, that would be really bad. |
| lol at “hijacking” |
You and MAGA are helluva stupid if you believe this. |
|
This is where your outrage is going? Sad. Did you read that the top 10% of wealthiest Americans are responsible for more than 50% right now? Do you think the president should, maybe, work to fix that, or reopen the government? I suppose the answer is no...but I'll wait. |
Exactly. |
